경기도 평택시에 소재한 주한미군 사령부(U.S. Army Garrison ? Humphreys)에 계약직 곤충학자/연구원 채용 공고가 오픈 되었습니다.

미군 부대 내 계약직 포지션은 미 국방성과 육군 계약 사령부의 조달 입찰 과정을 통해 선정(낙찰)된 업체에게 인력 채용 및 서비스 공급 권한이 주어집니다.

• 포지션 타이틀: Entomology Laboratory Specialist
• 계약 기간: 2020년 9월 1일 ~ 2021년 8월 31일 (1년 단위 계약)
• 계약 연장: 미군, 회사, 지원자 모두 동의 시 1년씩 4회 연장 가능 (= 최대 5년)
• 근무 형태: 프리랜서 계약
• 근무 시간: 주 5일 40시간 (08:00-16:30, incl. 30 min lunch break)
• 근무 부서: The Entomology Section, Department of Force Health Protection & Preventive Medicine
• 업무 개요: The entomologist shall conduct arthropod- and rodent-borne disease surveillance. (Detailed job description will be furnished to qualified candidates.)
• 지원 자격:

1.       Education: MS degree, with transcripts, from an accredited college/university, with emphasis in entomology that allows him/her to be proficient in basic entomological skills. The Entomologist must submit a current resume/curriculum vitae as a part of technical proposal with evidence of MS degree in an entomological related field.

2.       Licensure/Certification/Registration: A resume that substantiates the proposed Entomologist’s English speaking abilities in order to communicate with non-Korean speaking advisors and supervisors and be able to demonstrate report-writing skills. The Entomologist shall also be fluent in Korean to communicate with Korean coworkers. The Entomologist shall be computer literate. He/she shall possess basic computer skills to enable him/her to enter and retrieve data and prepare reports in MS Office programs, including MS Word®, Excel®, and PowerPoint®.

3.       Experience: The Entomologist shall have a minimum three (3) years (full-time) experience in working in an entomology laboratory curating and processing arthropods for rearing, identification, and other related entomological skills. The Entomologist shall have a minimum of three (3) years (full-time) taxonomic experience for identification of Culicoides spp. (biting gnats)

• 급여: 지원자 경력, Salary history 및 입찰 전략 고려하여 책정 (매해 계약 연장 시 3.0% 인상)
